It's a very steep and tough climb but the views along the way and at the top are worth it. Tried in January and the heat, humidity and rain made it very hard and slippery. Got to the peak during the dry season and it was much better without the heat and humidity. You can see all of Cairns and the surrounding mountain ranges. Difficult walk as most of the track is rocky and is at a constant incline. Good fitness is recommended. If you are new to bushwalking, allow for an entire day (7 hours) to do this.
