61%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Parents get four Parents’ Rooms with change tables, microwaves and TV plus pram cloak rooms, yet dense crowds, sudden cheers, heat and limited seat space make visits tiring for infants.

Positives:

  • Easy baby care: Parents’ Rooms and Changing Places are free and have feeding, changing and warming facilities.
  • Pram storage: Collapsible prams must fit under your seat or be stored in cloak rooms near Gates A or E.

Challenges:

  • Match length: NRL games last around 2 hours plus breaks, which may be long for some babies.
  • Limited shade on plaza: The grassed area has few umbrellas; bring a portable shade or sunhat for your baby.

One of the best stadiums in the state of Queensland. Recently built after the Cowboys departed from Dairy Farmers Stadium in Kirwin, the brand new stadium right in the town centre is suitable for visitors and local supporters alike. Staying in the town centre, the walk to the stadium is easy with no issues. All the modern facilities of a new stadium and food concession stands a few metres away ...

Wonderful stadium, biggest issue is the long staircase on the upper tier. It should be split, even young fit people were blowing hard by the time they got to the top

Went to the wallabies/argentina game, it's so organised, large parking area specifically for the stadium can be found near officeworks, then they have free buses to the stadium and from the stadium back to the carpark.

It’s my first time visiting the new stadium in Townsville. They have done an amazing job. Very easy to get in and out. Good walking distance to be picked up. Good food and service too.

Check what you are allowed to bring into the venue before your arrival as restrictions apply. Overall, we w...
