What makes it 35% Baby-Friendly: Strollers fit the flat promenade and the ferry terminal offers a single baby-change cubicle, but loud machinery, limited shade, and no nursing rooms lower comfort for infants.
Note: Port of Townsville is 35% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Great Barrier Reef Area for a more suitable experience.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to check in, use baby facilities, and board ferry with a stroller.

Use baby-change table at Breakwater Ferry Terminal:
Change your baby's nappy on the flip-down table next to the unisex toilet.
Tip: Bring disposable bags for the nappy disposal unit and extra wipes.
Board Sunferries with stroller assistance:
Get help from staff when boarding the ferry to Magnetic Island.
Tip: Arrive 15 minutes early to secure assistance and stroller space.

Terminals are air-conditioned year-round. In summer, avoid midday sun by staying inside until boarding. In winter, dress in light layers as indoor areas remain cool.
