What makes it 67% Solo-Friendly: A solo visitor can jog the Esplanade, photograph the 600-year fig tree, and relax by the sea for free, yet play equipment is child-focused so time on site is limited for adults.
Why 1-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Solo travelers can jog, explore the playground and relax under the banyan tree within this time.
Jog or cycle the Esplanade fitness path:
Follow the paved waterfront path past art sculptures and lookout points.
Tip: Start at dawn to enjoy cooler temperatures and quiet streets.
Climb the suspended plank road:
Walk the 180 m timber walkway around the massive 600-year-old banyan tree.
Tip: Wear sturdy shoes; the planks can feel uneven when wet.
Explore playground structures:
Try the rope bridge, tube slide and swing built around the fig tree.
Tip: Visit in off-peak hours to avoid waiting and enjoy more space.
People-watch with a coffee:
Grab a takeaway at Wharf One Café and sit under the shade of the fig tree.
Tip: Order their flat white and bring a reusable cup to save on waste.

This playground would be awesome if most of it wasn’t blocked off with construction fence.

An interesting playground built around a huge fig tree. Both adults and kids have fun in this playground.

Great playground, really nice and modern, and very suitable for all ages. My little brother made a friend. The tree is super cool, I didn’t know that trees could grow like that. Swear I saw a monster in the tunnel :). Really fun, super accessible, with lots of fun equipment that has been placed here, I really like this place and definitely recommend this playground for all ages, will definitely be...

Great park built around a massive fig tree. Best part is that it is completely shaded by the tree. And there's a cafe right next to it!

One of the more interesting tree house spotted that even adults are tempted to play hide and seek amongst and in between the branches. Below the tree house is not less beckoning especially with the serene water backdrop and the sound of docking ship blowing its horn. We really enjoy this park. People watching, reading on the many wooden benches and two eatery premises on offer. One corner is Hemin...
Dry season (May–October) offers clearer skies and fewer rain showers. In wet season, move quickly indoors at the first sign of thunderstorms.
