Lovely little Museum in the heart of Cairns. Great history displays on local area, indigenous displays. Building of the Railway etc, lot's of info on individuals who made up Cairns history. Nice open veranda area upstairs with a breezy view of Cairns streets. Worth the visit, very reasonable price for entry. Recommend!

In all, the attention to detail in the displays certainly was in line or better than other museums we have visited. We'll done.😀

I could have stayed all day with him - he was informative, funny, kind and inclusive. I highly recommend that anyone who visits Cairms - they should visit this museum and learn what the city is all about. It is an incredible history...
In Cairns’ wet season (Nov–Apr), pack a rain cover for your stroller as you walk to the museum. In the dry season (May–Oct), visit in the cooler morning hours to beat the midday heat.
