What makes it 67% Baby-Friendly: Wide pram-friendly paths and shady lawns help with strolling an infant, but toilets lack change tables and a few uneven tracks mean carers must bring a portable mat and plan shorter loops.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to stroll stroller-friendly paths, visit the conservatory, and enjoy a lakeside picnic without rushing.
Flecker Garden stroller loop:
Follow the wide, paved path under a dense canopy through native and exotic tropical plants.
Tip: Start in the morning to avoid crowds and push the stroller on level sections only.
Centenary Lakes boardwalk:
Walk the flat timber boardwalk beside freshwater wetlands and mangroves for calm scenery.
Tip: Bring insect repellent and stay on the main trail to keep the pram steady.
Lakeside picnic at Freshwater Lake:
Use the shaded picnic shelters and grassy lawns for lunch or snack with baby.
Tip: Pack a portable changing mat and refill water bottles at the nearby tap.
Orchid House Conservatory:
Enter the cool, glass-walled space to see rare orchids and tropical plant displays.
Tip: Hold your baby or use a lightweight carrier to navigate narrow areas.

Beautiful gardens. Great place to go for a walk and enjoy the sights it has to offer. You can stroll around at your own leisure. Lots of amazing plants and flowers to take a photo of. You can even sit in the grass areas and enjoy a picnic.

Very nice lots of exotic plants - We spent three hours here. It was very pleasant- cool in the rainforest shade out of the hot sun. Nice lakes to walk beside where we saw several turtles, 9 inch fish. Scrub turkeys, some other birds and ducks.

Beautiful trees and plants along a winding pathway with a pretty lake. Has toilets, cafe and information centre. It has an area for music and bands to play. They have a market the last Sunday of the month, which I attended. There were varied locally made things to buy and also street food to eat. All in all a great place to visit.
