Positives:

  • Pram-friendly paths: Smooth, level concrete paths allow easy stroller movement around the park.
  • Free baby facilities: Accessible toilets include change benches and drinking fountains for bottles.
  • Shaded rest areas: Gazebos near the playground and memorial offer cool feeding spots.

Challenges:

  • Limited shade midday: Few covered areas mean intense sun without extra protection.
  • No private nursing room: Use gazebos or find nearby council facilities for private feeding.
  • Wet season rain: Heavy showers Nov–Apr can close paths; bring a rain cover for the stroller.

Great public space with open marina views, city views and some huge trees. Open grassy spaces, park benches, old bandstand, shade and excellent Anzaac information

One of Townsvilles best parks. Sitting between the old customs house building and the marina. Very popular for wedding, family and graduation photography. Always kept in top condition. Approximately 5 acres of lawn, massive fig trees and the Anzac cenetarf.
