Babies are allowed and shaded creek edges and parents’ rooms in adjacent malls help, yet sand strollers struggle and few nursing rooms sit directly on sand, so planning and gear are vital.
Why 0.5-1 day visit duration is ideal for with baby: A half-day or full-day visit covers gentle swimming spots and beachside facilities without rushing.
Paddle at Tallebudgera Creek:
Splash in shallow, calm water at the creek’s edge.
Tip: Set up near the grassy shade and bring a float ring for baby.
Ian Dipple Lagoon at Burleigh Heads:
Enter a natural tidal pool with a gentle slope and clear water.
Tip: Visit at low tide for wider shallow areas ideal for baby’s first splash.
Federation Walk Coastal Reserve:
Stroll along a smooth path with ocean views.
Tip: Use a stroller and stop at lookout benches for breaks.
Hire Beach Shade:
Rent chairs and umbrellas near Surfers Paradise.
Tip: Book online or pick up gear early to secure shade spots.

Love this beach, so nice! (I am terrified of beaches and water but it's the gold coast so gets a 5 star anyway 💗)

Honestly, the sunrises here are next level. Its so beautiful! Of course if you see the sunrises you also see the people who have just left the nightclubs haha but the vibe is amazing. This beach is always very clean and the activities that are on are always happening. If you come to GC you have to go to the beach for sure!

Fabulous beach in the heart of the gold coast. The Langham features in the centre, with an outstanding walking path going all the way. If you want to experience typical gold coast beaches, this is the spot to visit on a sunny day. Plenty of swimming places, sand and sun, just perfect!
