What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Wide pram-friendly paths and shelters aid feeding or naps, yet toilets lack built-in change tables and the soft-sand walk with gear is hard, so extra planning is required.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a relaxed stroll, picnic breaks and dolphin spotting with a baby.
Stroll the paved seaway path:
Follow the wide east–west concrete path from the carpark to the water’s edge.
Tip: Paths stay smooth and level—ideal for prams and beach wagons.
Use baby-change facilities:
Find benches in the public toilets for changing nappies.
Tip: Bring your own portable mat and supplies.
Picnic in shaded shelters:
Set up under mature trees at the covered picnic tables.
Tip: Arrive early to secure a spot out of midday sun.
Spot dolphins from the breakwall:
Walk to the rocky seaward point to watch wild dolphins play.
Tip: Bring binoculars and a camera with a zoom.
Short lighthouse walk:
Walk 800 m one-way along the Federation Walk to the Seaway lighthouse.
Tip: The flat route is stroller-friendly—carry water for baby.

Large size outdoor park at the tail end of a long strip of land, which includes Seaworld. I was here as part of the GC30 Running Festival, participating in a 7.5km run.

Nice destination park at the end of The Spit, and overlooking the Gold Coast Seaway. Plenty of vehicle parking, pedestrian paths, large open park areas and tables and bench seats. Plus, views north towards The Broadwater and South Straddy.

This spot is magical & I love watching sunsets across the water & behind the mountains. There are heaps of dolphins frolicking around & they have been there for the past few years. If you like walking, you can walk along the beach OR along the pathway. It’s a lovely walk out to the lighthouse.
In summer, plan visits before 10 am or after 4 pm to avoid heat. In winter, afternoons offer mild weather but bring a windbreaker.
