What makes it 90% Kids-Friendly: Kids up to 12 can steer the vessel, receive a personalised Captain’s Certificate, and spot wildlife, though parents must visit shore toilets beforehand because there is no restroom on the Duck.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: The one-hour tour plus check-in and photos fits into a short outing.
Amphibious city and river tour:
Travel on land from Surfers Paradise to Broadbeach then dive into the Broadwater.
Tip: Sit at the front for unobstructed views when entering the water.
Junior captain experience:
Let children sit in the driver’s seat and steer the Duck on the water.
Tip: Ask to reserve a front seat for your child when you check in.
Waterfront villa sightseeing:
Spot luxurious riverside homes and local wildlife from the water.
Tip: Use binoculars or zoom lens to see villas’ details and birdlife.

Such a wonderful experience. My 4 children aged 1-7 all had an amazing time! Thankyou so much to Captain Chris and host Luke, for making the ride so enjoyable and putting a smile on my babies faces. Luke and Chris also gave us some interesting facts about the GC, so it was also an educational session too! Highly recommend and we will be back again soon.

Easter Friday activity for my wife and myself we went on an 11:45 am one hour tour It was fun. Great to see some of the houses by the water. Our tour guide and host Tracey was fun and knowledgeable as was Captain Jerry who kept us safe and looked after us.

This was a relatively cheap experience that the whole family can enjoy. The views were great and the commentary was interesting and entertaining. The section where children can drive was the highlight. A different way to spend an hour while down the coast. I couldn't fault a single part of the service.

A great experience for the holidays. Very informative & entertaining with Margie & Captain Lee. Loved all the kids each being able to drive when on the water & receive a certificate for their fun experience. Time given for parents to take photos as we are still cruising & sightseeing. Quite a lot packed into an hour, value for money, so worth it!
In summer bring sunscreen and hats; mornings are cooler and less crowded. In winter, layer up against breeze on the water.
