Southside Village (solo trip)

Nice place, amenities a bit old but still useful. Dbl speed bumps no good for a bus and longway from front gate but pretty good location - lot of cabins!

Good location close to major attractions like the War Memorial, Royal Mint, and Zoo. The staff were friendly and helpful, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the park itself feels dated and cramped. Powered sites are small with little room to maneuver even a caravan van. We stayed on a powered site in our motorhome. The site was fine, although it was pretty tight for caravans trying to get in...This morning I paid for a powered site (over the phone) and was told I'd be sent a form to fill in with our details. This did not arrive and I had to email to ask for it. We arrived at 4.45pm and the office was closed, even though apparently the office closes at 6pm on week...

Excellent service friendly staff. Lots of facility's including bar and bistro aswell as things for the kids to do. Massive range of accommodation options and would highly recommend staying there. It is my go to when in Canberra and have stayed a number of times since I was a child

We stayed 3 nights over this past weekend in a cabin with 2 small children. If I could give this place a negative star I would. The cabin smelt absolutely rank the entire time the aircon was soo dusty. The fridge smelt and was dirty. Food caked on most the dishes. Hair and god know what in the cutlery draw.
