Novotel Canberra (couple trip)

Excellent hospitality- front desk Especially dinner at the hotel, people working and serving were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast time too I felt warm and comfortable. Location is good view from the restaurant is great.

The rooms are an unusual layout. The carpet needed to be cleaned but otherwise good. The reception staff were great. The room attendants a bit hit and miss. Great location.

The place looks tired. The room smelt moldy. We tried to get it addressed a no real solution was delivered. The staff did not want to assist their guests. We had to find a trolley and arrange, load and deliver our own luggage. Any remedial action to basic flaws in the functions of a hotel were non existent or lacklustre and clearly had no priority to guest experience or welfare. Rooms were not cle...

I'd say the ratings you see on the property speak for themselves. The location is great. The property and interiors are dated. The room cleaning service was average. The parking was full and we never got parking. Also a bit difficult to park in front of the hotel to check in. I am told before 3pm is the sweet spot to get the internal parking.
