It took three attempts to get us into the appropriate room. First room was the wrong room Second smelt like human feaces Third had the wrong bed and was filthy, dusty and the carpet was awful. The bathroom had mould. I coughed all night from the dust. There was no care that we were moved three times. There was toothpaste marks in the bathroom and it smelt too. Do not stay here it was filthy.

This was my first stay at East Hotel, and while I’m unsure I’d stay here again, I would definitely return for the restaurant and bar alone. Other hotels need to take notes from East Hotel, when it comes to family rooms. I still can't quite get over how amazing our experience was based on the $430 per night rate (bear in mind, it was off peak, but still amazing value). Such a nice hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel has a nice bar (Joe's bar) and restaurant (Agostinis) within its premises. We enjoyed a couple of meals there. The hotel was conveniently located near to the major tourist attractions (Qestacon, National Museum, etc). Would definitely stay here when we next visit Canberra.
