Canberra Rex Hotel (with baby)

Visiting our daughter who is studying in Canberra, we are often on the look-out for good accommodation deals and trying new places. On our previous stay we were critical of a number of things. Thank you for listening. The room was excellent and staff were also very delightful. WIFI worked perfectly.

Amazing room/suite with a fresh and hot buffet breakfast to get us off to a great start. Bed was comfy and had a variety of pillows to choose from. Beautiful bathroom with separate toliet, was a nice private inclusion. Expansive views from the suite and the breakfast area. 1 issue was that they didn't make the bed properly or return the pillows to the bed each day (weird)

Our room had a mouldy odour to it Room service for our evening meal was quick although the fish n chips were greasy,not much of a menu choice. Breakfast was really good plenty to choose from cooked beautifully. So decided to go upstairs for our tea , low and behold they same menu as the one sent sent to our room the night before. Staff were lovely, aircon did not work. Body creme bottle was empty. We stayed in the balcony room slightly bigger than the standard. Not sure what the need is for a balcony when there is no chairs or table outside.
