Canberra Lyneham Motor Inn (with kids)

stayed here on the 23rd jan 2025. i booked this place as it was the closest accommodation to the old canberra inn where my mate was having a bday party. it cost me $114 for the night. i checked in just as the attendant was about to leave. he was friendly and helpful. the room was big and the bed was comfy. there were no instructions anywhere for the wifi which was disappointing. summary: average

Location was good for being close to everything we needed, but the one person room I stayed at had no shampoo or conditioner samples, no milk samples, and I've been constantly squashing ants in my bed, on the tables. Not real impressed at at supposed high cleanliness.

Our room was, spacious, very clean and tidy, excellent value for money. Very basic but ideal for a tight budget and located close to town. The toiletries provided were very scarce, though - only 2 soaps provided in our bathroom and no hand towel. Other than that this motel is clean and comfortable.

You get what you pay for. Room and linen was clean. Fittings very dated but serviceable. Good hot shower and we could boil the jug! I am happy with ABC on the TV. Note that aging tile grout is not mould. BONUS walking distance from great restaurants and supermarkets.

I was in Canberra to compete in a Sporting event, so I just needed a comfortable bed in a clean room that had a frig, kettle, tea/coffee etc, bathroom and a car space.
