Avenue Hotel Canberra (with kids)

Although this hotel is in a reasonably good location everything requires a car to get to. The rooms are clean if you only stay for a day or so any longer and they don’t get cleaned properly. The slowest wifi that I have come across in recent year ☹️Streaming anything was a nightmare!!

Booked for a spur of the moment visit to Canberra based on ease of access on a main thoroughfare, and on price. Very comfortable beds - although there was no place to plug in my phone charger next to the bed except by unplugging the clock. We got here late on a Thursday night expecting no room and this place looked amazing. We found one singular spot for us and we got into our room. The bathroom was pretty good but the shower pressure was slightly low. The beds were extremely comfy and the room was clean. Returned to The Avenue a few years after being a regular. They haven't missed a beat! Room is immaculate, super comfortable beds, great pillows, great amenities and outstanding service. Add to this the great food, prompt room service and friendly staff and I'd rate The Avenue as the best in Canberra and best value.

Clean room, comfortable bed and good location near restaurants and bus terminal. It was cheaper booking through an outside booking site even when I asked the hotel for best price.
