Pram-friendly paths, baby-change toilets, shaded shelters and a toddler sandpit suit infants; still, no indoor nursing room, and wind off the water can be chilly in winter.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a pram-friendly lake stroll, a play stop and breaks for feeding.
Pram-friendly lake circuit:
Push your stroller along the 4.2 km paved loop with shaded sections and bench stops.
Tip: Turn back at any point if baby needs rest; use benches for feeding breaks.
Adventure playground & nature play:
Let your baby explore the sandpit, toddler climb and all-abilities swing.
Tip: Bring a soft blanket for the liberty swing padding.
Picnic & barbecue:
Use sheltered tables and free barbecues near play areas for meals and feeding.
Tip: Pack easy-to-warm baby foods; use nearby water taps to clean bottles.
Baby-change facilities:
Find two unisex toilets with built-in changing tables close to playgrounds.
Tip: Carry spare nappies as there are no shops onsite.
In summer, visit before 10 am or after 4 pm to avoid heat; in winter, wear layers as winds pick up on open lake edges.

We love it here. Such a serene place, perfect for finding solitude, or for going on community walks, spending time with family at the playground, having a picnic by the lake. There’s options to be done by all ages. The park is clean and well maintained. Lots of birds and animals, with the occasional lizards. I recommend this place for families.

One of the best playground in Canberra. Lots of places to roam. Test your mettle at a basketball court and skatepark, kids areas, barbecue and a pegolla. Currently under construction for upgrades for a new bathroom and seated area but the grounds are still accessible. Lake run or walk is a must do
