Iconic science museum - I remember coming here as a kid and enjoying the earthquake machine and lighting show. They’ve still got all that and lots more now. Parking can be a bit pricey, there’s a cafe and daily shows demonstrating how fire works and the like. Great for kids under 10!

There's something for all age groups in this science centre. The exhibits are well curated and are informative. We visited on a weekday day and there were quite many school groups. We ended up spending quite some time in the centre, as we found the experimental learning enjoyable. A visit is highly recommended!

I came here many years ago when I was at school and remembered loving it. Came again recently as an adult with some friends and it was a nice nostalgic visit. Average entry price, we came about 2.5 hrs before closing time during the week and that was a good time as most of the school kids had left and we had a lot of space to ourselves to enjoy the place. While a lot of the activities are designed...

This place is exhilarating. The amount of science projects in here is amazing. I visited with my husband and our sons 1,2 and 17 year-old. They all found something they were excited about and we spent at least three hours in this place. We even got to sit in and watch the Japanese exhibit show. I do not recommend for the ages of my children but definitely for children age between 7 and 12. Definit...

Wonderful place to take the kids, and for adults too. Can get quite busy on school holidays, but the exhibits are numerous and well laid out so rarely have to wait very long. Cool special exhibits and interactions like the earthquake simulator, ball throwing speed measurer. Great way to get everyone excited about science.
In Canberra winter, bring a light jacket for outdoor exhibits. During school holidays, book Science Time workshops online at least one week in advance.
