Smooth pram paths, shade lawns and a fold-down change bench suit infants, but no dedicated nursing room and little age-specific play mean parents must bring gear and plan feeds.
Why 1-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for a lakeside stroll, playground fun, and picnic without rushing baby routines.
Stroller-friendly Lakeshore Walk:
Follow the smooth, wide paths around the park and along Lake Ginninderra.
Tip: Stay on the main loop; avoid steeper side trails with steps.
Shaded Picnic & Electric BBQ:
Use one of the sheltered tables and plug in at the free electric barbecues.
Tip: Arrive before peak times to claim a shaded spot near toilets.
Inclusive Playground & Liberty Swing:
Help baby up the low ramps or use the high-back swing with a safety harness.
Tip: Test swing straps before use and hold baby on ramp edges.
Creekside Grass Play Area:
Soft lawns by the shallow creek provide space for baby to crawl or roll.
Tip: Spread a blanket and watch for sudden drops at pond edges.
Baby-change & Drinking Facilities:
Locate the fold-down change bench in the toilet block and refill bottles at nearby taps.
Tip: Bring a portable mat and pack extra water bottles.
In warm months, bring spare clothes and towels for creek paddling. In changeable weather, pack layers and a pram rain cover.

A superb playground great for the kids. There’s lots of picnic tables as well for the parents to sit back and relax. A nice view to view the sunset over the lake as well. There’s 3 options of playground, from babies to toddlers to young adults. Highly recommend for families.

A huge, peaceful, and shady park on the banks og Lake Ginniderra. The pathways are wheelchair friendly, and the waterways and ponds were alive with ducks and ducklings swimming amongst beautiful flowering lillies. The kids' playgrounds are interesting, safe, and wellwmaintained. I'm very glad we visited the park, and we were happy to see the food truck on our way out!
