What makes it 83% Solo-Friendly: A solo visitor can jog or cycle the flat bayside paths, fish, swim or hire a kayak, and toilets with BBQs support a long stay, but limited evening lighting makes late visits less ideal.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time to explore the foreshore path, spot wildlife and enjoy a kayak or bike ride at a relaxed pace.
Foreshore Walk or Jog:
Follow the wide, flat concrete path along the bay’s edge.
Tip: Start at sunrise for cooler temperatures and better bird activity.
Esplanade Cycling:
Ride the 200 m marked circuit or cruise the full esplanade.
Tip: Bring your own bike or scooter to skip rental queues.
Shoreline Fishing:
Cast from small jetties and shoreline for bream or whiting.
Tip: Use light tackle and fish at dawn or dusk when catches peak.
Solo Kayak or Paddleboard:
Rent a kayak or SUP from Bay Island Lifestyle for self-guided paddling.
Tip: Book online in advance and check wind forecasts for calm waters.

Nice for a bbq and a game of cricket or a ball game. Swimming is good too but can get very busy on weekends and parking can be an issue. Fantastic spot for sup's and a great place to take the pup for a swim (make sure you stay on the designated beach, council rules apply)

Stunning foreshore area, equipped with a shaded children's playground, picnic areas, nearby beach and toilet amenities. The beach gets quite busy, but is great for swimming. Dogs are allowed in the foreshore park on leash, and there's often plenty of parties and celebrations on various benches.

Our first visit to Raby Bay and it was beautiful. The kids had so much fun swimming. There is netting around the swimming areas!

The water and ocean have always held a special place in my heart, a sanctuary where I can find solace and rejuvenation. Today was no exception as I found myself immersed in the tranquil beauty of the beach. Picture yourself, with the entire shoreline to yourself, basking in the serenity of the gently lapping waves, the occasional bird gracefully soaring overhead, and the whispers of the wind rustl...

Lots of wide open spaces for playing frisbee or ball games. Three different beaches and one is allocated for your dog. Play equipment such as swings and slides, BBQ and picnic tables available, with ample parking in street or in privided car park. Toilets are medium clean, but usable.
In summer, arrive before 9 am to avoid heat and afternoon storms. Winter afternoons are mild for paddling and fishing. Always check the weather and wind conditions.
