Two family rooms, lifts for prams and change tables make visits practical, yet dim war displays and loud animatronics may distress infants and there is almost no baby-targeted content.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to see main galleries and take breaks for feeding and naps.
Dinosaurs Unearthed:
Explore life-size dinosaur skeletons in the Dinosaurs Unearthed gallery.
Tip: Visit in the morning to avoid crowds and use a compact stroller for narrow paths.
Discovery Centre:
See live snakes, insects and join short curator talks.
Tip: Pick up a Sensory Kit at the cloakroom to reduce noise for your baby.
Family Rooms & Café Muse:
Use quiet family rooms for feeds and relax at Café Muse.
Tip: Ask staff to warm bottles and request highchairs before ordering.

Great free day out!! Really cool interactive tasks, we got to pick stick insect eggs out of dirt and got to use a few telescopes! Really enjoyed the sections about spiders and other bugs!

One of the most well-known museums in Brisbane. This is a great place to learn more about the history of Queensland and the past dinosaur era. They provide easy-to-understand information and interactive exhibitions to learn more about them. The exhibitions have a nice display and they have a variety of different exhibitions to see, such as the dinosaurs, and many other animals. Definitely recommen...

You can explore the public areas of the Queensland Museum without paying an entry fee, which was a nice surprise. Most of the exhibits are geared more toward children than adults, but there’s still plenty to enjoy. From Australian wildlife to cultural displays, there’s a good mix of things to see—especially if you’re visiting with kids.

Free for general areas viewing. Was worth the time. I could see different ages of animals( Triassic Jurassic, age of dinosaurs, etc), sharks , squids, snakes, birds , and stones, and also about the islanders history. They write in detail to understand which species were obtained, whether they were reconstructed or the real fossils. I and my friend had fun.
