IStay Precinct Adelaide (solo trip)

This apartment building is quite dated. The carpet feel like it hasn’t been steam clean for years, has the damp smell and sticky. There is only 1 aircon unit in the living room so the bedroom is quite cold at night. This place definitely can do a facelift and a major clean for carpet and couch.

I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. The stay was overpriced, uncomfortable, and marked by shockingly poor customer service. Staff were not only unhelpful but rude, making inappropriate comments about us that were later relayed by a friend. Update in response to management reply: Reception staff were excellent — the only genuinely positive part of our stay. Everything else? Stretching credibility. * Broken windows & Foxtel: Staff saw the window lock catch broken and Foxtel not working. Window only got partially closed with some effort. Nice sized self contained apartment in complex with pool and gym. However our room was quite noisy from the music outside from the nearby venues. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and I found a hair in the bed. The balcony was good but the windows needed something to prevent falls. Especially for children or intoxicated adults.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with poor speaking English reception staff. Although they tried their best to communicate, it was very hard to understand basic instructions and details on locating car parking. The room was well sized but very basic.
