What makes it 83% Baby-Friendly: Parents with a baby find pram-friendly paths, shade and baby swings, yet they must walk 400 m to the nearest change table and there is no dedicated nursing room.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Offers time for a stroller walk, picnic break and sensory play without rushing.
Stroller-friendly Coast Park walk:
Follow the flat shared path through Wigley Reserve toward the beach.
Tip: Start at the park entrance for shade and use the sail canopy to rest.
Sensory nature-trail play:
Let your baby explore stepping boulders and touch logs on low paths.
Tip: Bring soft-soled shoes and supervise at all times.
Picnic under the sail shade:
Lay a blanket on the grass and use picnic tables or BBQ shelters.
Tip: Pack lunch and bottles; the canopy keeps sun off your baby.
Baby swing and in-ground trampoline:
Use the baby-sized swing and mini-trampolines in the playspace.
Tip: Check weight limits and avoid during peak sun hours.
Parents’ coffee break at Tramside Kiosk:
Grab coffee or light snacks in the restored tram-car café.
Tip: Open Wed–Sun; plan around kiosk days or bring own refreshments.

Wigley Reserve was the Start/ Finish line for a Fun Run I participated in. Great large open space parklands with flat walking paths surrounding the reserve.

A very peaceful and serene place to visit. This reserve is Very green, clean, full of life. The views are amazing. The playground, toilets all well maintained. There's plenty of space for picnic or family activities. Often vintage car shows can be seen here. Loved our visit on a weekend. A just visit place if you're around Glenelg.

A beautiful public beach. It has automated public toilets, water fountain, swings for kids, couple of restaurants, vibrant environment and lighting in the evening times. Parking is nearby, otherwise tram is a great option to travel from CBD.
