We visited this library on a Tuesday and found that it opened till 7 pm. The security staff was very helpful and showed us the lift to take to the upper floor of the Mortlock Wing. This place has a magical feel, like from a Harry Potter movie. The furniture and books felt very historic. We spent some time here just enjoying the ambience and browsing the books. Well worth a visit when in Adelaide.

A fascinating place for both history buffs and photographers. The affiliated museum is definitely worth visiting if you wish to get a quick sketch of the state’s past and present or run into some interesting stories behind exhibits. Last not but least, don’t miss the Holden exhibition!
