How Baby-Friendly is South Australian Aviation Museum?

56%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 56% Baby-Friendly: Prams are allowed and bright aircraft shapes stimulate babies, yet nursing and change rooms are unconfirmed and loud engine demos may overwhelm, so plan shorter, quieter visit.

Reviews4.7/ 5
(from 1,145 reviews)

Positives:

  • Pram-friendly paved floors: Wide hangar floors let you push a stroller easily.
  • Free baby entry: Children under 5 enter free with a paying adult.
  • Accessible toilets: Standard public toilets are on-site; ask staff about change tables.

Challenges:

  • No dedicated nursing room: The museum lacks a parent room; confirm baby-change facilities before you arrive.
  • Limited baby-specific play: Hands-on cockpits and push-alongs target older children, not infants.

I went with a couple of brothers to this rather good museum. It’s run by all volunteers and we did speak to a couple of them. They were very informative and made the trip a little bit more interesting. What we got me was the Fokker F 27 and the DC3. When I was in Papua New Guinea, I flew in these guys all the time. It was great that I could go back into the interior which brought me back so many ...

An amazing experience. So many displays with so much history. Amazingly displayed and explained. For those avionic enthusiasts, plan on spending 2 - 3 hours. The maritime and railway museum are just as spectacular as well as the clipper ship experience.
