What makes it 56% Baby-Friendly: Prams are allowed and bright aircraft shapes stimulate babies, yet nursing and change rooms are unconfirmed and loud engine demos may overwhelm, so plan shorter, quieter visit.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to stroll hangars, explore cockpits and use stroller-friendly areas without rushing.
Stroller-friendly hangar stroll:
Push your pram along flat, wide floors past historic planes.
Tip: Park your stroller near restrooms while you step into exhibits.
Sit in open cockpits:
Board the Dakota C47 or other aircraft with your baby on your lap.
Tip: Hold your baby securely and follow volunteer guidance for safe entry.
Push-along plane rides:
Let older toddlers ride the free push-along plane frames.
Tip: Supervise closely; these are best for children who can safely grip and steer.
Photo spots beneath the F-111:
Capture family photos under the iconic bomber’s wing.
Tip: Arrive early for clear space and soft morning light.
Browse the museum shop:
Pick up baby-themed souvenirs and aviation books.
Tip: Look for small plush jets or board books in the gift area.

An amazing experience. So many displays with so much history. Amazingly displayed and explained. For those avionic enthusiasts, plan on spending 2 - 3 hours. The maritime and railway museum are just as spectacular as well as the clipper ship experience.
