What makes it 83% Solo-Friendly: The riverside loop, outdoor gym, bird-watching spots and tennis courts give a lone visitor varied free activities; daylight paths feel safe but few staff and minimal lighting lower late-evening comfort.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: 2-3 hours gives time for a river run, a bodyweight workout and photography stops without rushing.
Jog the park circuit:
Use the paved loop along the Little Para River for exercise or meditation.
Tip: Start at the main entrance and follow the loop clockwise to avoid busier spots.
Outdoor fitness equipment:
Perform bodyweight exercises on pull-up bars, gym bars and climbing frames.
Tip: Bring gloves and a towel; arrive early to use equipment before the midday heat.
Riverside photography:
Capture images of canoe-cut red gums, footbridges and river reflections.
Tip: Visit at sunrise for soft light and fewer walkers.
Quiet reading or sketching:
Find a spot under riverbank gums for personal time.
Tip: Pack a portable chair or blanket and choose a shaded bench.
TreeClimb adventure:
Try high-ropes courses and long ziplines at the park edge.
Tip: Book your slot online in advance and check age and weight requirements.

Renovations to the carpark are coming along nicely Toilets are clean and plenty available. Nice toddler playground. Kids loved rolling down the hill too. Overall very decent playground / picnic space

I cycle & walk through the park and attend events put on by the Salisbury council. There is rarely a day i do not see a Salisbury council vehicle and workers maintaining or improving the park. Every weekend the car park is teeming with visitors enjoying the park. Everyone from all ethnic backgrounds having a great time. The Salisbury council have put heaps of effort into the park. I recon it ...

Great location! Fence protects kids from main road. River flowing so better watch toddlers but it is lovely to walk over the flowing river to get to the playground (bridge of course). Two BBQs, plenty of bins. A fun sand section with pulleys. Plenty of swings. Toilets. Plenty of grassed area to run around. Good for parties I hear. Dogs must be on leads most of the day.

Absolutely stunning! It really is a beautiful place. Great place especially if you have children as it has extensively large grassed area's, BBQ'S, play equipment and other things to explore on your adventure. Stunning wildlife and walking tracks
In summer, come early to avoid heat. In spring, explore blooming eucalypts. Join the Cycle Salisbury Birthday Ride in September if scheduled.
