What makes it 80% Kids-Friendly: Kids can borrow beach toys, jump off the jetty, explore nearby fenced playgrounds and eat ice cream; railings are low, so constant adult supervision near water is essential.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for sand play, jetty jumps, playground fun and a short bike ride without rushing younger kids.
Borrow Box beach toys:
Pick up free buckets, spades and balls from the box near the jetty.
Tip: Collect toys early to avoid missing out and return them before leaving the beach.
Jump off the jetty:
Older kids can leap into the shallow water below at a gentle tide.
Tip: Check tide times, supervise closely and wear water shoes to protect little feet.
Bindarra Reserve playground:
Enjoy swings, slides and picnic shelters just a five-minute walk from the jetty.
Tip: Bring snacks, use the BBQ shelters for a quick lunch and let kids run on the grassy area.
Bike hire and flat trail riding:
Rent family bikes or bring your own and ride the sealed Coast Park Path.
Tip: Reserve bikes with child seats nearby, pack helmets and water bottles before you go.

We dropped by this jetty on a guided tour. It was a quick stop so we just had a look at the jetty from the forshore. The structure looks nice.

Great jetty to walk out on. The community utilize it well and a great meeting point when catching up with friends. Great to watch the dogs running on the beach and enjoying themselves.

Beautiful Jetty was there on a windy evening but view was spectacular. Had a clean and nice Spot for fishing if you are into it. I was told its a good place ro catch whiting, cod and squid. Will definitely stop by in few days and get better pictures. Has a good pub just opposite to the entrance and local stores. Nice beach and spectacular spot to view sunset.

Beautiful place!! Generally not too crowded (except on hot days or public holidays). A nice spot to watch the sunset or just go a walk. There is an annual sculpture exhibition which is normally held in late Jan, early Feb and includes many beautiful and creative pieces of art.

In summer, pack swimwear and sun protection. In February, spot temporary jetty sculptures. In cooler months, bring windbreakers for the sea breeze.
